Bob Roby received his J.D. from William Mitchell College of Law and began a family law practice in 1992. Prior to this he worked as guardian ad litem in Ramsey County, making recommendations to the courts regarding the welfare of children, and clerked for a well-established twin cities law firm.
Having worked as a licensed pastor since 1985, and a Certification Trainer for “Prepare/Enrich” through Life Innovations, he brings to the law practice a background and experience in pre-marital and couples counseling. In 2006 Bob was trained and certified as a Qualified Neutral for Civil Mediation under Rule 114 of Minnesota Rules and has had a very high rate of success as a mediator and case evaluator.
For over 25 years Bob has focused his law practice on the areas where the legal system interfaces with family relationships, like custody, divorce, estate planning, adoption, and foster care. He believes that the stakes are never higher than in these types of cases, and that this is where his considerable skills are best used for the benefit of his clients.
